The Naga People’s Front (NPF), in a press release, has questioned the alleged scam and ideological influence of the International University, Chümoukedima formerly known as Global Open University.
Taking cognizance of the alleged scamming of one Rev. Dr. Motso Ngullie by one Dr. Priyaranjan Trivedi, the NPF mentioned Rev. Ngullie’s claims of setting up the “Global Open University” who also claimed to have served as the former Vice Chancellor of the said University. “It is claimed by the Reverend that when formal complaint was lodged to His Excellency the then Governor also remarked that the scamming was a serious issue that needs to be looked into. However, the issue seems to be kept in a cold storage thus far. Subsequently, the Headquarters of the University is now shifted from the original location at Wokha to Chümoukedima. Fast forward 2025, the University has now been renamed “International University” (apparently a derivation from “World Hindu University” putting in “International” instead of “World” and dropping “Hindu” so as to try to win over non-Hindus) and is said to be founded by Dr. Priyaranjan Trivedi,” stated the NPF.
The University recently named its Library after RSS Founder, Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. “Dr. Trivedi is found on YouTube profoundly promoting the Vishwa Hindu Vidyapeeth (World Hindu University) and the need of such Universities in order to propagate the Hindu thoughts and philosophies. The Naga People’s Front is disturbed with the allegations made on Dr. Trivedi and is curious with what intention he is setting up educational institutes in Nagaland,” stated the Party.

While expressing its respect to all religions and the freedom to practice one’s beliefs, the NPF has raised concern over the University where it mentioned that Dr. Trivedi “seems to be to popularizing Vishwa Hindu Vidyapeeth (World Hindu University) all over the world”.
“The NPF is also surprised with how boldly Dr. Trivedi is doing and this points out to the fact that he is being backed and protected by higher ups. The NPF, therefore, cautions the people to be aware of the clandestine tactics of RSS policies that has penetrated into the Christian majority Nagaland. The party reminds that ‘Gau Dhwaj’ (cow flag) installation in Kohima, organised by Jagadguru Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Maharaj of Jyotirmath on September 28, 2024 was thwarted through the people’s voice,” stated the Party.
The Party has called for a united Naga voice to stand against these forces “in the same yardstick which are trying to destroy the secular fabric of India and inculcate extremist and dangerous ideologies to the Nagas”.
