The Naga People’s Front (NPF) on Wednesday held a consultative meeting of its legislators and senior party leaders at the party’s Central Office in Kohima, where discussions focused on the Naga political issue, development priorities, disaster response, and organisational strengthening.

The meeting was led by Chief Minister and NPF President Neiphiu Rio, who stressed the need to strengthen and expedite efforts towards resolving the Naga political issue while ensuring balanced development across the state. He urged party leaders to remain united and proactive in addressing both political and developmental challenges.

The meeting also took serious note of the recent natural disasters that have affected various parts of the state, causing loss of life, property, and livelihood. The party asserted to take all possible measures to assist in relief and restoration efforts, to reach out to the affected communities, and to extend support to those in distress.

Organisational matters were also discussed at length. The leaders deliberated on strengthening party coordination at all levels, enhancing grassroots connect, and charting a clear roadmap for the way forward.

Dr. Rio also called upon the Naga people to remain united at this critical juncture. He stated that unity and collective effort are essential to safeguard the interests of the Naga people and to achieve lasting peace and progress.

The meeting reaffirmed that it will remain steadfast in its commitment to public service, unity, and the overall welfare of the Naga people.
