NRE Department bids farewell to Krupi Sothu

Kohima: On behalf of the officers and staff, Director of NRE, Er. Kimaba congratulated Sothu on his achievement of retiring from government service. He mentioned that the outgoing officer joined the department of NRE in December 2022.

A farewell programme was held in honour of Commissioner and Secretary, New and Renewable Energy (NRE), Krupi Sothu, IAS, at the Directorate of NRE, Kohima on 31 March.

Chairing the programme, Arikumba, Joint Secretary NRE, mentioned that Sothu joined the government service as an NCS officer in 1989 and served the state government in various capacities for a period of 34 years, a DIPR report informed.

He commended the outgoing officer for his punctuality and sincerity in his assigned duties.

Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, Advisor of NRE and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, speaking during the farewell programme, mentioned that he and Sothu joined the Nagaland Civil Service (NCS) together in 1989, and reminisced about their training days as NCS probationers.

Describing him as one of the most educated and sincere officers, the advisor wished him a healthy and prosperous retired life.

On behalf of the officers and staff, Director of NRE, Er. Kimaba congratulated Sothu on his achievement of retiring from government service. He mentioned that the outgoing officer joined the department of NRE in December 2022.

He called the retiring officer a man of vast experience, and till his last day of government service, he was sincere in his works, which is a quality the department needs to learn and inculcate.

The director said that the outgoing officer retiring in good health and without blemishes in his career is an inspiration for all.

Meanwhile, Sothu commended the officers and staff of the department for being efficient, responsible and sincere in their job and thanked them for their team work and cooperation.

Expressing his regret that he couldn’t do much as he was posted in the department for a short period of time, he added that whenever any queries were asked, the officers and staff were very helpful and prompt in their response, and assigned duties.

Thew retiring officer further said that the cooperation, sincerity and dedication of the officers and staff in their assigned duties will be remembered and appreciated.

During the programme, invocation prayer was pronounced by Er. Inaho P Awomi, Joint Director NRE, while vote of thanks was delivered by Er. James Khala, Additional Director, NRE.
