NSCN (U) impeaches Ato Kilonser for ‘lack of interest’, ‘authoritarian complexities’

The National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Unification has on 21st April 2024 impeachedb Ato Kilonser (Prime Minister) of NSCN and General Secretary of GPRN, N Kitovi Zhimomi on charges of violating violated Article 18 of the National Yehzabo (Constitution) and Party Discipline Section: A clause- B and Party Discipline Section C clause-4.

NSCN (U) had convened an extraordinary Emergency National Assembly Tatar Hoho Hall, Naga Unification Camp, Khehoyi where the House decided to dismiss N Kitovi Zhimomi, and unanimously elected Alezo Venuh as the General Secretary of the NSCN and Ato Kilonser of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagaland (GPRN).

The charges laid out against Zhimomi include:

  1. “1. Huge financial liabilities: The House deliberated upon the past many years of financial instability of the government and has concluded the main cause of the weak financial stability is due to the Ato Kilonser’s self motivated financial strategy.
  2. Lack of Interest: While deliberating upon the various anomalies which has been weakening GPRN, the House established the cause to that of the unyielding disposition and lack of focus shown by the Ato Kilonser towards the progress of GPRN.
  3. Incompetency: The House have also charged that the Hon’ble Ato Kilonser inspite of many advices from respectable and appropriate GPRN members has failed to consider nor bought in any exemplary changes in running the government.
  4. Dictatorial and Autocratic: Deliberating upon the style and system of governance, the House is convinced that the governing system practiced by the Hon’ble Ato Kilonser is progressing to take the shape of a Dictatorial and Autocratic mode which is totally against the norm of the Naga national movement and has never been envisioned since the beginning of the national movement.”
