NSCPCR, SCERT initiate one day orientation on Child Rights and School Safety in Tseminyu

Tseminyu: Program marks significant step towards safeguarding rights of children and ensuring safe and nurturing environment

A one-day orientation on Child Rights and School Safety was organized under the initiative of the Nagaland State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NSCPCR) in collaboration with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Nagaland, informed the DIPR.

In an awareness about the rights of children and to foster an environment conducive to education devoid of effort to raise coercion and mental stress, the event was held on Thursday at the GHSS Tseminyu Assembly Hall and was attended by parents, teachers, and students.

The distinguished gathering was addressed by Alun Hangsing, Chairman of the Nagaland State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights, alongside Legal Advisor Akumla Longchari (NSCPCR) and Legal Consultant Lichani Murry (NSCPCR).

The resource persons for this informative session were Dr Zavise, a professor at SCERT Nagaland, and Kegwalo Thyuth, Joint Director at SCERT Nagaland. The program was chaired by Hichulo Semy, Principal of GHSS Tseminyu.

The orientation program marked a significant step towards safeguarding the rights of children and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for their education.
