The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued a four-day weather outlook for all districts from September 15 to 18, warning of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the State.
On September 15, light to moderate rain is expected in Longleng, Mokokchung and Mon, while thunderstorms/lightning with light rain are likely over Noklak and Tuensang. Dimapur, Peren and Phek may experience thunderstorms and lightning, while Wokha is likely to receive light rain. Partly cloudy conditions are expected in Chumoukedima, Kiphire, Kohima, Meluri, Niuland, Shamator, Tseminyu and Zunheboto.
On September 16, thunderstorms with light to moderate rain are forecast for Longleng and Mon. Thunderstorms/lightning with light rain are likely in Chumoukedima, Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Niuland, Noklak, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto. Meluri, Peren and Phek may experience thunderstorms and lightning, while no active weather warning has been issued for Kiphire.
September 17 is expected to remain relatively settled, with no active weather warning issued for any district.

On September 18, thunderstorms/lightning with light rain are likely in Noklak, Phek, Shamator and Zunheboto, while Kiphire and Meluri may experience thunderstorms and lightning. Light rain is forecast for Mon and Tuensang. Overcast conditions are likely in Peren, Tseminyu and Wokha, while Chumoukedima, Kohima and Niuland may remain partly cloudy. No active weather warning has been issued for Dimapur, Longleng and Mokokchung.
The four-day cumulative rainfall outlook indicates the highest rainfall over Longleng at 42.96 mm, followed by Mon (40.66 mm), Mokokchung (34.80 mm), Tuensang (26.99 mm), Noklak (26.85 mm), Wokha (22.88 mm), Shamator (17.78 mm) and Zunheboto (17.10 mm).
The NSDMA advised the public to regularly monitor weather updates through the Safer Nagaland mobile application and NSDMA Weather Portal, follow official advisories and exercise caution during thunderstorms and periods of rainfall.
