The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has forecast generally settled weather across the State from September 23 to 26, with localized thunderstorms and lightning expected in several districts on September 23 and 26.

On September 23, thunderstorms/lightning accompanied by light rain are likely in Chümoukedima, Kohima, Longleng, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto. Thunderstorms/lightning are also forecast in Dimapur, Mokokchung, Peren and Phek, while cloudy conditions are likely in Kiphire and Meluri.

On September 24, overcast conditions are expected in Kohima, Mon, Noklak, Tseminyu and Tuensang, with cloudy weather likely in Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Longleng, Mokokchung, Niuland and Wokha. No active weather warning is in force for the remaining districts.

On September 25, Mokokchung is likely to remain overcast, while partly cloudy conditions are forecast across most other districts. Kohima and Meluri have no active weather warning.

On September 26, thunderstorms/lightning are forecast in Dimapur, Kiphire and Meluri, while partly cloudy conditions are likely in Kohima, Longleng, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu and Wokha. No active weather warning is in force in the remaining districts.

The NSDMA said weather conditions are expected to remain largely settled during the period, with only localized thunderstorm activity on September 23 and 26. No district is currently under an Alert or Warning-level advisory.
