In view of the anticipation of heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in several places across Nagaland, the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued fresh warnings.
The NSDMA has warned that is a flash flood risk likely over watersheds and neighbourhoods in the low-lying areas in the state while surface runoff and inundation may occur at some fully saturated soils and low-lying areas due to the expected rainfall occurrence.
In the light of the anticipated extreme weather conditions, all District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) have been advised to stay alert and issue necessary advisories to
avoid mishaps in their respective districts.
