Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS on Friday launched the Nagaland Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) WhatsApp chatbot during the NSEDM State-Level Steering Committee meeting held at the Chief Secretary’s Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.

The chatbot is designed to serve as a single-window platform for addressing queries from candidates and citizens regarding skill training programmes, access to skill loans, the Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiative (CMMFI), compliance-related services and general Mission updates.

The initiative is expected to enhance public access to NSEDM services, minimise manual data entry, streamline the collection of application details and improve the overall efficiency of service delivery.

The MoU provides for collaboration in key areas, including Skill Development, Certification and Quality Assurance, Placement and Employment, Digital Infrastructure, Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Institutional Capacity Building.

As part of the agreement, NIELIT Kohima has agreed to design and deploy a unified skilling portal, which is expected to become operational by December 2026.
