Amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan, The Naga Students’ Union Punjab (NSUP) has issued an urgent advisory to all its members in Punjab.
The Union has informed that it has taken the initiative to assist and facilitate the voluntary evacuation of students who wish to return home in light of the current situation. “Students who prefer to remain in Punjab are advised to strictly follow government-issued guidelines and take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety and well-being,” it informed in an advisory issued on May 9.
For students who do not wish to take assistance from the Union but have plans to leave Punjab, the Union has advised to check the availability of train, bus and plane tickets and manage their travel plans accordingly.
“We urge everyone not to panic. The Union is actively coordinating with concerned authorities and has ensured that all necessary arrangements and safety measures are in place,” assured the Union.
