The Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organisation (People’s Justice) (NTPRADAO) has expressed appreciation and applauded the State Government for officially setting up an SIT/DIC on December 19, 2024 in order to investigate the allegations of corruptions under the JJM Scheme in Nagaland.
“The NTPRADAO ( People’s Justice ) has some “technical issues” to be sorted out which it will do so formally with the Chairperson of the SIT/DIC soon. The NTPRADAO ( People’s Justice ) makes it crystal clear that the State Government has done the “most appropriate and just action” in setting- up the SIT/DIC as demanded by the organisation since 19th October, 2024. It is a struggle of two (2) months of consistent effort by NTPRADAO ( People’s Justice ) which has “finally culminated to bear fruits of its hard labour”. The organisation also herein thank the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri. Neiphiu Rio for taking a “pro- active public welfare stance and giving go ahead for an independent SIT/DIC” which hopefully will be transparent and justice oriented,” stated the organisation in a press release issued on December 30.
It stated that It will “wait and watch till the time frame of SIT/DIC 45 Days are over” and in the meantime has suspended its public protest and mass agitation and all other related action plan strategies indefinitely since the State Government has honoured its demand of SIT/DIC.

The organisation has also warned the Special Investigation Team ( SIT ) to be cautious and careful in thoroughly investigating the alleged JJM corruptions “as 22 lakhs of Nagaland’s people as well as central agencies are keenly watching over its development”.
“The proposed SIT has to “maintain neutrality, balance of perspective and unbiased nature/scope” in order to go to the bottom of the alleged corruptions to nail the persons involved in corrupt practices if any. The NTPRADAO ( People’s Justice ) on its part will play the role of a “unrelenting watch- dog with the functioning of the SIT” and carefully analyst the Report when presented for a “closer examination, scrutiny and anamalies if any”, so that a concrete logical conclusion will be arrived at,” it stated.
The organisation also urged the incumbent PHED Chief Engineer L. Leyang Khiamnuingan to maintain complete impartial stance and “not try to shied any past or present PHED officials”, so that the duty of the SIT/DIC can be carried on in a smooth manner.
“The NTPRADAO ( People’s Justice ) will leave “no stone unturn till justice is delivered and the common masses enjoy the fruits of development to the fullest extent,” stated the organisation.
