Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mokokchung, in collaboration with Ao Students’ Conference, organised Yuva Utsav 2022 in Mokokchung on 11 October at Fazl Ali College as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative.
The programme was held with the theme ‘Take Pride in our heritage and legacy’.
In first session of the District Youth Convention, talented youths competed on six youth centric components as set by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS). The six competitions conducted were painting, photography, writing, declamation, Yuva samvaad (Extempore Speech) and cultural troupe.
Students from Fazl Ali College, Jubilee Memorial College and Mokokchung College of Teacher Education participated in the competitions.

In the second session of Yuva Utsav 2022 Mokokchung, four young achievers gave encouraging and inspirational talks to the youths present. The speakers were Limalenden Longkumer, editor of Mokokchung Times, Vitolu Chishi, EAC of Mokokchung, Marshilu Pongen, entrepreneur and Wapang Ozukum, artist and Governor awardee.
Sentilong Ozukum, SDO (Civil), Mokokchung and the special guest of the session said what India will become in the next ten years largely depends on the youth of today.

Painting competition: 1st Imkongmar, 2nd Kotiba Lio, 3rd Purnungsang
Poetry competition: 1st Ketinenla Amlari, 2nd Lanudangit Sempo, 3rd Sentimenla Lemtur
Photography competition: 1st Rongsenmeren, 2nd Imliakum, 3rd Chubasenla L Jamir
Declamation: 1st Imlimenla B Longkumer, 2nd Esther Longkumer, 3rd Toshimanen Imchen
Yuva Samvaad (Extempore speech): 1st Arensor Jamir, 2nd Sentimenla Longkumer, 3rd Moarenla, 4th Tsuknungmeren Soyah
Cultural troupe competition: 1st Jubilee Memorial College, 2nd Fazl Ali College
