The Oriental College Kohima conducted a one day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on April 23 in collaboration with ASEM LLL Hub Regional Centre for South Asia on Teaching, Learning and Researching.The programme was organised for the faculty members to enhance their abilities which will improve the academic and intellectual environment in the institution.
The resource persons for the programme were Dr. Seamus O Tuama Chair, ASEM Education and Research Hub for Lifelong Learning (ASEM LLL Hub), Dr. Shalini Singh , South Asia Coordinator,ASEM LLL Hub and Prof. Dr. Paed. Soeren Ehlers European Coordinator, RN5, ASEM LLL Hub, Denmark.

The programme was welcomed by Dr. Khrieriezhünuo Dzüvichü, Principal Oriental College Kohima.
The speakers emphasized on the topic Social Capital, Culture and Identity. The need to create identity of reflexive Modernity was highlighted, in order to design to the need of learners in the modern education. O Tuama added, identity capital is about the individual self esteem and dignity as a member of a community, informed a press release by Oriental College.
