Orientation programme on PMVK held in Wokha

A workshop cum orientation programme on PM Vishwakarma for field officials and staff was held on February 23 at Deputy Commissioner Conference hall, Wokha, informed DIPR.

General Manager, District Industries Centre (DIC) Wokha, Myingthungo Kikon while highlighting on the aims and objectives of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, said this is a central sector scheme launched by the Government of India, to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople who work with their hands and are either self-employed or intend to set up their own small scale ventures.

He maintained that the schemes aims to uplift the lives of artisans and craftsmen by providing them with recognition, skill up gradation,  toolkit incentives, credit support, incentives for digital transactions and marketing support. He further informed the trainees that the enrolment of beneficiaries shall be done by seeking application through the Common Service Centre (CSC) by providing the necessary documents such as Aadhaar card, mobile number, bank details and ration card.

Skill Development & Entrepreneurship I/C, Wokha Anuranjan Singh highlighted on the benefits and eligibility of the scheme while District Manager, CSC e-Governance Services Indian Ltd. Wokha Achio Kikon dwelled on the registration process.
