Minister, Health and Family Welfare, Paiwang Konyak held a coordination meeting with District Administration headed by Deputy Commissioner Mon, SP Mon, CMO and Medical Superintendent (MS) Mon at MS office, District Hospital, Mon on July 25.

The Minister briefed the situation at Tizit Town after the recent flood and the challenges like shortages of drinking water, where all local wells were filled with dirty water.

Minister, also enquired about the public health in Mon Town after the disaster, and encouraged the CMO, Mon to work through District Administration as a team. He also urged, to stay alert for the post flood that any waterborne diseases might break out. For emergency medical preparedness, he handed Rs 3 lakh to the CMO. He also urged to send a hospital report after every 6 hours. The Minister also reminded the members not to claim unnecessary relief.

Medical Superintendent, District Hospital MOn, Dr Aman Konyak briefed on the District hospital Mon report. He said, many roads connecting to villages were cut off by the landslide resulting to less patients in the hospital.

Chief Medical Officer, Mon Dr Supongmenla update the status of medicine in the District. While the Deputy Commissioner Mon, briefed the whole senerio of the District affected by natural Disaster. He cited the roads cutoff by landslide affecting power supplies and communication connectivity in the district.
