PDFL: Barak FA, Native Feathers, Puiteing FC, Lekie Mtei FC win on Day 4

Peren: Highlights of the four matches played on Saturday at the Peren District Football League

Barak FA vs Prime FC on Day 4 of PDFL.

Barak FA, Native Feathers, Puiteing FC and Lekie Mtei FC won their respective matches on Saturday at the ongoing first Peren District Football League (PDFL) 2022 organised by the Peren District Football Association (PDFA) at Jalukie ‘B’ village ground.

EAC Wiridin graced the opening match of Day 4 as the chief patron.

Barak FA vs Prime FC

Playing the first match of the day, Barak FA defeated Prime FC 1-0.

Barak FA who overcame one of the season favourites Native Feathers on Friday came even stronger with its captain Kenumdi making several attempts to open its account in the early minutes of the game and dominated the first part of the game.

Prime FC on the other hand made it to the goal keeper area of Barak FA but were not allowed to score by their opponent. A lone winning goal was scored by Chrakung of Barak FA at the 19th minute.

The game became more intense as Barak FA continue to keep striking while Prime FC tried to come back for the equaliser.

Native Feathers vs Nsong Area Sports Association (NASA)

In the second match, Native Feathers stunned Nsong Area Sports Association (NASA) 5-1. The first goal came through Lungmedau of Native Feathers at the 40th minute. Khiuwangbo Kaurintah scored at the 57th and 86th minute. Khankinwi added another goal at the 59th minute.

At the 70th minute of the game, Heluingim scored a solitary goal for NASA. Khankinwi of Native Feathers then added another goal for the team at the 71th minute which was enough to seal the victory.

Puiteing FC vs Northern Zeme Sports Association (NZSA)

In the third match, Puiteing FC blanked Northern Zeme Sports Association (NZSA) 4-0.

Puiteng FC has maintained its winning streak, topping the League points table. Puiteing missed major chances to score during the first 20 minutes of the game. NZSA also made several attempts to break the defending line of Puiteng FC but Puiteng defenders provided no chances for them during the first 25 minutes of the game. Wibonjibou of Puiteng scored two goals at the 41st and 42nd minute of the game.

After the breather, Paolenngam added two goals for Puiteing at the 63th and 65th minute.

Lekie Mtei FC vs Benreu FC

In the fourth match, Lekie Mtei FC thrashed Benreu FC 3-0. Both the teams failed to register a goal within the first 40 minutes of the game. Right before the breather, Lekie Mtei found the back of the net at the 43th minute through a penalty kick by Hainsiugongbe Kenn.

In the second half, Lungneuying of Lekie Mtei doubled the score at the 60th minute. Lekie Mtei FC striker, Haileuyibe Iranggau, the top scorer of the League missed chances in the early minutes of the game, but managed to score at the 71st minute.

Benreu FC also missed opportunities to open its account and had to concede a defeat.
