The monthly Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of August was held on 11 August 2022 at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren.
Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner & Vice-chairman DPDB Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS reiterated the members to be present in their respective place of posting and carry out their works with sincerity. He also informed the members that the 2nd Quarterly District Development Coordination & Monitoring (DISHA) meeting with MP (Lok Sabha) and Chairperson DISHA, Tokheho Yepthomi, has been convened on 25 August 2022 at DC’s Conference Hall, for which he directed the concerned Heads of Offices to attend the meeting positively.
In the meeting, the proposal for the setting up of the Health Unit at Peren Hq. was approved to be forwarded to the higher authority for further action. On the agenda for increasing Aadhaar enrollment in the district, the DC pointed out that Peren district was lacking behind other districts. Following the discussion, the Board decided to organise Aadhar enrollment camps in all the sub-divisions where the enrollment ratio is low starting from this month.
With regard to the discussion on celebration of the 75th Independence Day, the DC reminded the members of the campaign Har Ghar Tiranga and requested them to hoist the national flags in their respective office buildings and upload the photo in the DPDB group. He also informed the Heads of Offices present to ensure that their respective Sub-divisional Officers would be present during the function without fail.
The meeting also approved the proposals for the opening of Hill Mission School at Peren Hq and the registration of Gracious Society, Ahthibung.
As entrusted during the previous meeting, the Department of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources and Social Welfare presented a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the activities and achievements of their respective departments.
Earlier, a minute of silence was also observed in honour of John Zeliang, ADS, F&CS, Peren who passed away recently.
The Peren District Task Force on COVID-19 meeting and a consultative meeting to deliberate on matters relating to Aspirational Block, Tening were also held.
