PHED Mokokchung Division came together to felicitate the 10 Best Performing Villages under the Mokokchung district. This accolade was in recognition of their outstanding performance in the Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2023, a sanitation and cleanliness survey conducted in May and June of this year.
The 10 Best Performing Villages are –
Ongpangkong North- Settsu Village
Ongpangkong South – Mekuli village
Kubolong – Mupongchuket Village
Longchem- Nokpu Village
Tuli- Anaki Yimsen Village, Anaki Old Village, and Kangtsung Village
Changtongya- Changtongya Old Village
Chuchuyimlang- Mongsenyimti Village and Yaongyimti New Village

The Swachh Survekshan Grameen assessed various parameters, with a strong focus on waste management and the overall visual cleanliness of the villages. The competition was fierce, but these 10 villages excelled in ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for their residents.
The Felicitation Programme, held on the 13th of September, was attended by representatives and participants from the honoured villages. The event took place at the Office of the Executive Engineer PHED, Mokokchung Division, where the achievements of these villages were celebrated and rewarded.
