Phek DPDB held its monthly meeting at DC’s Conference Hall, Phek on August 10, chaired by DC & Vice Chairman DPDB Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS.
Meeting deliberated on Road Sector as agenda for smooth vehicular movement during the current monsoon season in the district, wherein Er Vikerhe Venyo, EE, PWD (R&B) Phek Div., Er Daniel, EE, PWD (R&B) of Pfutsero Division, and Er Yimkumwati Pongon, EE PWD/NH-29, Pfutsero-Chozuba of Phek, shared the status reports of the roads and their continuous effort in maintenance of works and apprised the House that at present the vehicular traffic passages in the district is going on smoothly without much difficult.
The DC commented on the efforts being made by the department in the district during the monsoon season, and requested them to continue with their sincere job to have uninterrupted vehicular traffic movement in the district in clear passages for the forthcoming Independence Day celebration on 15th August 2026.

The proposal for establishment of Kendra Vidyalaya Sangathan in Phek district was discussed during the meeting. After a brief deliberation, the house unanimously agreed for recommendation to higher authority for final approval.
The meeting also discussed on LADP schemes for the current financial year 2026-27, and constituted a verification committee for all the four Assembly Constituencies in the district. The ADC Pfutsero will be the convenor for 16-Pfutsero A/C; SDO (c) Chizami for 17-Chizami A/C; ADC Chozuba for 18-Chizami A/C, and ADC Phek Hq. for 19-Phek A/C.
The departmental activities were made by the Land Resources and Art & Culture departments during the meeting. The DPO, LRD Phek, Agnes W. Phewhuo highlighted various development schemes undertaking in Phek and shared the challenges face by the department.
DCO Phek, Zhosa Sabo also highlighted the primary functions and Cultural outreach programs of the department enumerated the various ongoing schemes in the district.
