Advisor, CAWD & Taxes and Chairman DPDB Phek, Kudecho Khamo has encouraged the Town Councils Administrations under Phek district namely Phek, Pfutsero and Chozuba for judicious utilization of funding received from government for the development of Towns in Phek district. He was speaking at the DPDB Phek meeting held at DC’s Conference Hall Phek on April 14.

The Chairpersons and Members of the respective Town Councils and Executive Officers of Town Council Phek, Pfutsero and Chozuba were also present in the meeting.

The activities and achievements of these three respective Town Councils/ Urban bodies were highlighted through PowerPoint presentation by the concerned Chairpersons and Administrative officer during the meeting.

During discussion, Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman, DPDB Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, NCS stated the duties and responsibility of Urban Bodies/Town Councils for the development of Towns. He also urged all stakeholders to maintain transparency and accountability while executing Government schemes/projects for the betterment of the citizens.

That, presentation of Award for the cleanest town and village in Phek district was also conducted at the meeting, in which Chozuba Town Council and Pfutseromi Village Council were judged the cleanest town and village respectively.

Meeting also deliberated on Livestock Insurance agenda launched recently. Dr Velilu Epao, VAS, Phek highlighted the scheme through PowerPoint presentation.

Expressing his concerned for office attendance of the officers in the district, the DC informed the house that departments’ groupwise checking of offices in the district will be commenced from the first week of May 2026.

Department of Social Welfare & Women Development and Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection were entrusted to present their departmental activities in the next DPDB.
