The Phek District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PDCCI) in collaboration with the Pfutsero Town Business Association (PTBA) hosted the Executives Summit 2025 at JBC, Pfutsero under the central theme “Empowering Business, Driving Economic Growth”.
The summit brought together key business leaders, entrepreneurs, and town union representatives from across the district to deliberate on the current challenges and future strategies for building a resilient and sustainable local economy.
In his opening remarks, PTBA president and PDCCI vice president Vekusu Chuzho welcomed the participants and underscored the importance of dialogue and unity in shaping the district’s economic future.
PDCCI president Razoukhruyi Dozo, who delivered the keynote address, highlighted the urgent need to support local enterprises, improve infrastructure, and dismantle barriers to entrepreneurship. He called for solidarity among business stakeholders to advocate for meaningful economic reforms in the region.

During the panel discussion, prominent business leaders and stakeholders explored issues such as sustainable development, enterprise challenges, and practical strategies to bolster economic growth in Phek district.
In the interactive discussion session, leaders from various town business unions-including the presidents of PTBA and the Chozuba Town Business Union-shared updates and concerns from their respective areas. The key topics which were discussed included the ongoing burden of multiple taxation by multiple factions/groups in Nagaland and finding ways and means to tackle it; concerns over licensing fees imposed by Town Councils, and a call for transparency in utilization; to discourage the Tender System on essential goods and encourage for positive competition among the entrepreneurs; the need for greater accountability and regular attendance among government employees; legal rights and regulatory protections for business establishments, with a focus on creating a safer, more supportive environment for entrepreneurs.
The PDCCI President also shared updates from recent discussions held at the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) level and with the state government, particularly on matters related to the representation of Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and broader policy advocacy.
Later, PDCCI general secretary Pio Veswu summarized the summit’s outcomes and reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to continued advocacy, collaboration, and strategic action. He stressed upon the critical importance of unity among town associations to achieve shared developmental goals.
The summit concluded with a Benediction and Corporate Prayer led by CBTU president Rhutsuyi Rhakho.
