In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the well-being of young children, the Piramal Foundation (Aspirational District Collaborative) Kiphire inaugurated the “Kush-haal Bachpan Abhiyaan” (KBA Campaign) on August 18, 2023, at the DC Conference Hall in Kiphire. The event was graced by Longdiba L Sangtam, NCS, SDO(Civil) and Nodal Officer ADP Kiphire, who served as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Longdiba L Sangtam, NCS, emphasized the critical importance of the early years (0-6 years) in shaping a child’s future. According to DIPR, he called upon officers from the Social Welfare Department, Piramal Foundation, and other line departments to collaborate closely in ensuring the holistic development of children through concerted efforts in areas of health, nutrition, and education.

Yesumong Sangtam, CDPO & DWO In-charge Kiphire, acknowledged and appreciated the strategic approach of the campaign, recognizing its potential to positively impact children. He assured full support and cooperation from his end to the Piramal Foundation in their ongoing efforts.
The Kush-haal Bachpan Abhiyaan, a Piramal Foundation initiative, is designed to elevate Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) among children aged 0 to 6 years in Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) within Kiphire District.
The program was chaired by Dariyali, Program Lead, and Lithsa, District Lead, who delivered the concluding remarks. Swmkwr Nazary, a Gandhi Fellow, elaborated on the campaign’s vision, objectives, and expected outcomes.
