PM Modi condoles loss of lives in plane-helicopter collision in Washington DC

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled loss of lives in the tragic collision between a passenger plane and a military Black Hawk helicopter in Washington DC, United States of America. In a post on X platform, the Prime Minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and extended solidarity with the people of the United States.

The American Airlines plane carrying 60 passengers and 4 crew members and a Black hawk helicopter carrying 3 military personnel collided near Ronald Reagan National Airport and fell into the freezing Potomac River.

Addressing a media conference on Thursday, the chief of DC Fire and EMS Department had said that the rescue operation had been switched to a recovery operation as they did not believe there were any survivors from the crash.
