PM Vishwakarma awareness workshop on branding and marketing held at Phek

MSME Development and facilitation office, Dimapur, under Ministry of MSME, Government of India organized a one-day awareness workshop on Branding and marketing under PM VISHWAKARMA Scheme in association with DIC, PHEK District on August 28 at DC’s Conference Hall, Phek.

In his keynote address, the Deputy Commissioner Phek, Rhosietho Nguori emphasized mainly on the importance of money in today’s generation and compared life in the past with simple and easy.

Giving a brief introduction about VISHWAKARMA SCHEME, he said the main purpose of the program is on Branding and Marketing of the products, and englithened the gathering artisans with three important traits namely idea, skill and marketing, which are essential to make money and sustain livelihood.

PowerPoint presentation on product, Packeting and labelling was Shared by Truvi Rhi, project Head, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Community Development. The presention showcase about different types of packaging like, Bottles, Bags, Cane, Tins and Tubes. The presentation also shared about how packaging is important to attract customers.

He also gave a brief introduction on labelling and FSSAI labelling format.

“Financial Literacy and interaction “, was taken up by Lead District Manager, SBI Phek, who introduced about VISHWAKARMA SCHEME and how it was specifically launched to address the specific 18 Traditional Trade. He also shared about the benefits under the scheme, eligibility and process of loan and registration.

Under “Export development and QR code generation”, Atrise Sangtam, Functional Manager DIC, Phek and Indian Post Office Phek, englithened the Artisans about export development and certain guidelines needed to follow during export of products.

Later, the program ended with interaction with technical experts and experience sharing, showcasing different handmade products from artisans across the Phek district.
