The Fast Track Special Court (POCSO), Dimapur, has issued a proclamation under Section 84 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) against an absconding accused in connection with a POCSO case and has sought public assistance in tracing him.

According to a press note, the proclamation pertains to Dimapur West Police Station Case No. 0070/2026 registered under Section 238 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) read with Sections 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The accused has been identified as Peter Chumbemo Kikon alias Robert Kikon, son of Peter Kikon, a native of Mekokla Village, Wokha district, presently residing at Little Attic Building, Kacharigaon, Dimapur.

The notice, issued by Special Judge Khesheli Chishi of the Fast Track Special Court (POCSO), states that a warrant of arrest issued against the accused could not be executed as he could not be traced. The court has recorded its satisfaction that the accused has absconded or is concealing himself to evade execution of the warrant.

The Court has directed the accused to appear before it at 10:30 a.m. on August 10, 2026, to answer the charges. Authorities have appealed to the public to assist in the investigation by widely publicising the proclamation in the interest of justice.
