A mass social work was conducted across Pughoboto Town on August 7 as part of preparations for the 80th Independence Day celebration, with government employees and the general public joining hands to clean and beautify the town.

The cleanliness drive was organised in response to a circular issued by the Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pughoboto, calling upon all government employees and members of the public to actively participate in the mass social work.

Participants undertook cleaning activities covering drains, the public ground and other areas within Pughoboto Town. The initiative focused on improving sanitation and creating a clean and welcoming environment ahead of the Independence Day celebrations.

Heads of government offices under Pughoboto Sub-Division were directed to ensure the participation of their staff and submit action-taken reports regarding absenteeism.

The mass social work reflected a collective effort by the administration, government employees and the public towards maintaining cleanliness and civic responsibility in Pughoboto. The initiative also underscored the importance of community participation in preparing the town for the forthcoming 80th Independence Day celebrations.
