RBSK Mobile Health Teams Receive Comprehensive Training at NHAK

Kohima: The successful culmination of this extensive training program is anticipated to enhance the proficiency and effectiveness of RBSK Mobile Health Teams in their endeavour to enhance child health and well-being within educational institutions and Anganwadi Centres

The Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) recently hosted a specialized three-day modular training program for the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakam (RBSK) Mobile Health Team members. The training, conducted from July 24th to 28th, 2023, aimed to equip the team with essential skills and knowledge for effective child health screening.

Under the esteemed Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakam (RBSK), a vital initiative by the National Health Mission, the training focused on enhancing the performance of all personnel involved in the child health program at Schools and Anganwadi Centres. The comprehensive program was designed to empower Mobile Health Teams with up-to-date information and expertise in child health assessment.

The intensive training delved into an array of critical topics to ensure Mobile Health Teams are well-versed in various child health aspects. Among the areas covered were roles and responsibilities of Mobile Health Teams, Basic Genetics, Down syndrome, Cleft lip and palate, Vitamin A deficiency, vision impairment, Heart Diseases, Clubfoot, Dental Conditions, Anemia, skin infections, brain functions, Childhood development, Neuro-Motor impairment, Autism, Learning disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Leading healthcare professionals served as resource persons during the training sessions. Dr. Khelito Zhimomi, State Programme Officer, RCH, DHFW; Dr. Tinurenla Anichari, Nodal Officer, RBSK; Dr. Sedengulie Nagi, Sr. Specialist (Pediatric), NHAK; and other eminent doctors provided valuable insights and expertise to the participants.

The successful completion of this comprehensive training program is expected to bolster the efficiency and efficacy of RBSK Mobile Health Teams in their mission to improve child health and well-being across educational institutions and Anganwadi Centres.
