RCFSL presents report on upcoming documentary on Rengma history and culture to Governor Ganesan

The Rengma Cultural and Film Society met with the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, at the Police Complex, Chümoukedima, on 31st March 2025 and presented a detailed report on its upcoming project, “A Documentary on Rengma History, Culture, and Tradition.”

A press release from RCFSL informed that President, A. Shyerhunlo Lorin, introduced the Rengma Cultural and Films Society and its members to the Governor. This was followed by the presentation of the report by Aga Rengma, emphasizing the importance of preserving the rich culture and traditions of the Rengma people through literature and motion pictures.

The Society also apprised the Governor of its past activities, including the beautification of Raj Bhavan Kohima with indigenous art and sculptures, an effort to promote and celebrate its heritage.

The Governor acknowledged work of RCFSL in preserving and promoting Naga culture and assured the Society of his support. The members also sought the Governor’s guidance in navigating government agencies and schemes that could help strengthen our initiatives.

The meeting ended on a warm and positive note, with Aga Rengma delivering a vote of thanks to the Governor for his time, encouragement, and valuable suggestions, the press release stated.
