Red Ribbon Club MGM College organises speech and poster making competitions

Dimapur: Red Ribbon Club promotes awareness on health issues and HIV/AIDS

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of MGM College, Dimapur, successfully organised a speech and poster-making competition in the college auditorium on Friday.

Dr.R.K.Behera, Acting Principal MGM College, informed that the competitions were held under the themes ‘Remember and Commit’ for the speech competition and ‘HIV/AIDS: Breaking the Chain’ for the poster-making competition. The event aimed to raise awareness and encouraged proactive engagement on critical health issues.

The program was chaired by Renben and began with an invocation by L. Annastacia. This was followed by an introductory speech delivered by Fuchumo Yanthan, the Nodal Officer of Red Ribbon Club, who highlighted the significance of the themes and the importance of youth involvement in such initiatives.

The event was attended by all members of the Red Ribbon Club, who actively participated in the competitions. The winners of both the speech and poster-making competitions were awarded cash prizes and certificates, recognising their efforts and contributions to the cause.

The Red Ribbon Club continues to engage students in meaningful activities that promote awareness and understanding of critical health issues like HIV/AIDS.
