Rengma Sports Association announces first RSA mini Olympic

The Rengma Sports Association (RSA) has announced the inaugural edition of the 1st RSA Mini Olympic 2024, set to take place from January 11 to 20 at the RSA Ground in Tseminyu. A press release issued by the RSA stated that the breakthrough event will witness the enthusiastic participation of all the seven ranges under Tseminyu district, showcasing their prowess in an array of sports, including Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis, among other athletics events.

“The 1st RSA Mini Olympic 2024 is set to be a celebration of athleticism, camaraderie, and the indomitable spirit of Tseminyu as a district and its people,” stated the RSA. Under the theme “Aspire to Inspire”, the event promises ten days of thrilling sports action, fostering a sense of pride and inspiration among participants and spectators alike.

Highlighting the spirit of unity and sportsmanship, the Olympic Torch Relay and the ceremonial lighting of the Olympic Flame will mark the commencement of the event on January 11. “This symbolic gesture aims to inspire athletes and spectators alike, symbolizing the spirit of competition and friendship,” stated the RSA.

Distinguished guests Abu Metha, Advisor to Chief Minister, Nagaland, Chairman IDAN, Asso. Vice President, Athletics Federation of India (AFI), Secretary General Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA), and Kvulo Lorin, Chairman NIDC and Director Tetso College, have grace the event as the Inaugural Guest and Valedictory Guest respectively.
