Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio launched the Nagaland Integrated Information System (NIIS) on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on August 15.
The Nagaland Integrated Information System (NIIS) is a digital governance initiative aimed at integrating government-related information and activities into a unified, accessible platform for all citizens. Anchored by the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) with support from the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, the project is designed to enhance transparency, operational efficiency and citizen engagement through a centralized service delivery.
NIIS will empower citizens by functioning as a single source of information for all government activities. Citizens can access news, photos, videos and helpful information about the state through it. NIIS will accommodate Government to Citizens (G2C) services through the integration of various APIs where citizens can discover and access various government schemes and digital services and it will ensure efficient and timely delivery of public services.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also virtually inaugurated the NIIS Hub, which is located at the Directorate of Information & Public Relations, Kohima. The Hub will serve as the central control and coordination unit for the system, overseeing data management, integration, validation and dissemination.

Advisor, Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, Daochier I Imchen visited the Hub of the Nagaland Integrated Information System. He congratulated the Department and everyone involved in the successful launch of the project. Imchen expressed his happiness and gratitude that the initiative which was conceived during the tenure of his late father as the then Advisor of the Department, had become a reality.

The Advisor was accompanied by the Secretary, IPR Orenthung Lotha, IAS and officials from various departments including IT&C and NIC Nagaland.
The launch of NIIS marks a significant step towards strengthening digital governance and citizen-centric service delivery in Nagaland. The initiative is expected to promote inclusive access to government information and services across the State.
