Rio, Patton meet Amit Shah in New Delhi, discuss Nagaland’s priorities

Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton met Union Home Minister, Amit Shah in New Delhi and discussed issues concerning the State, including its development priorities and the aspirations and welfare of the people.

Rio said the meeting was aimed at seeking Shah’s intervention and support in fast-tracking Nagaland’s developmental aspirations.

“Called on the Hon’ble @HMOIndia, Shri  @AmitShah  Ji, along with Dy. CM Shri @YanthungoPatton  to request his intervention and support in fast-tracking Nagaland’s developmental aspirations,” he wrote on X.

He expressed gratitude to the Union Home Minister for his continued guidance and support towards Nagaland’s progress and development.

Patton, who accompanied Rio during the meeting, described the discussions as meaningful and said matters concerning Nagaland, including the State’s development priorities and the welfare and aspirations of its people, were discussed.

In a post on X, Patton wrote, “Met with Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah  Ji today in New Delhi, along with Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. @Neiphiu_Rio. We had a meaningful discussion on matters concerning Nagaland, including the State’s development priorities and the welfare and aspirations of our people.”

He also thanked Shah for his time and continued attention towards Nagaland.
