The Rotary Club of Kohima hosted the official visit of District Governor Rtn. Nilesh Kumar Agarwal on October 15. The District Governor was accompanied by his First Lady, Lakshmi Agarwal, Rtn. Dr. Nitin Agarwal, Assistant Governor Zone 17, and members of the Rotary Club of Dimapur.
In his speech, District Governor Rtn. Nilesh Kumar Agarwal encouraged all Rotarians to remain dedicated and find joy in their community service efforts, emphasizing on the significance of the Rotary mission in serving the community.
During his visit, the District Governor had the opportunity to tour the Rotary free tailoring center managed by the Rotary Club of Kohima, located at Cherryland L. Khel in Kohima. He personally distributed certificates to 22 beneficiaries for completing 4 months cutting and tailoring training from the Rotary Free Tailoring centre. He encouraged them not only to acquire new skills but also to utilize their knowledge to enhance their livelihoods. Furthermore, he urged the club to continue its mission of training and empowering more individuals in the future.

According to the Club, the visit of District Governor Rtn. Nilesh Kumar Agarwal was a significant moment for the Rotary Club of Kohima, reflecting their commitment to service and community development, and it further looked forward to more collaborations and initiatives in line with the Rotary values and principles.
The event commenced with a welcome address by the Rotary Club of Kohima’s President, Rtn. Kevileno Solo. A comprehensive secretarial report was presented by Rtn. Miriam Rengma, highlighting the club’s activities and achievements. The occasion was made even more special with a heartfelt musical performance by Seyievinuo Chuzo.
