The Rongmei Students’ Union Dimapur (RSUD) has expressed profound grief over the death of two young students of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, who lost their lives in a road accident.

The deceased students, Gaisinlung Dhangmei, a Class XI student, and Machangbou Charenamai, a Class X student, were reportedly returning home after a futsal game when they were struck by a Gypsy allegedly driven by a 25-year-old man.

Expressing deep distress over the tragic incident, the RSUD said the untimely deaths had left the students’ families, friends, classmates, teachers and the entire Don Bosco community in profound grief.

The Union said it was particularly heartbreaking that young lives continued to be lost in Dimapur due to what it described as reckless and negligent driving.

The RSUD conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, relatives, friends, classmates, teachers and the entire Don Bosco community, and prayed that they would find strength and courage to endure the irreparable loss.
