A formal retirement ceremony was held at SCERT Kohima, to honour Director SCERT, Kevirale-u Kerhuo in recognition of her dedicated service and outstanding contributions. She retired on March 31, 2026 after 33 years of exemplary leadership.
The event was attended by Kevileno Angami, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, L. Jamithung Lotha, IAS, Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Officials from Samagra Shiksha, Rangumbuing Nsarangbe, Chairperson, Nagaland Board of School Education, Officers from the Department of School Education, Principals of various District Institute of Education and Training (DIETs), Office bearers of All Nagaland DIET Faculty Association, distinguished guests, well-wishers and all the staff members of SCERT, Nagaland.
During the programme, various speakers highlighted the outgoing Director’s vision, commitment, and significant achievements that greatly contributed to the growth and success of the institution. Under her leadership, the department witnessed notable progress in various areas, including academic excellence, teacher education and infrastructure development.

The outgoing Director’s ability to inspire teamwork and maintain a positive work environment was deeply appreciated by colleagues and staff.
In her farewell speech, Kevirale-u Kerhuo expressed gratitude to the entire team for their support and cooperation throughout the years. She also encouraged everyone to continue working with dedication and integrity for the betterment of the department.
The program concluded with the presentation of mementos and a token of appreciation as a mark of respect and gratitude for her invaluable service.
