Science Exhibition held at Tseminyu

The Lighthouse School, Tseminyu under the Department of School Education, the Nagaland Education Project – The Lighthouse NECTAR government of Nagaland organised a Science Exhibition at Town Hall, Tseminyu on April 24.

Gracing the occasion as the guest of honour, EAC Tseminyu, Omajen Ozukum, expressed his pleasure at seeing the government schools unitedly hosting such an event. He urged the students to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the department to learn and cultivate a scientific mindset to adapt to the changing dynamic of the world. He also conveyed his belief saying that the initiative like this would provide students with valuable exposure, thereby enhancing their confidence.

Principal of GHSS, Tseminyu & Chairman of the LCC, Hechulo Semy provided an overview and objective of the event to the audience. The exhibition features participants from Six Schools namely- Government Higher Secondary School Tseminyu Old Town; GHS Tseminyu New Town; GHS Tseminyu New Town; GMS Tseminyu village; GPS Tseminyu south village; and GPS Zisunyu village; In total 26 projects were showcase during the exhibition for parents, students and the general public to observe.

Students from all four educational stages – Foundational, Preparatory, Middle and Secondary presented their project during the exhibition. The program was chaired by Jetile Kath, GT, GHS Tseminyu, New Town, and the invocation was pronounced by AHM GHS Tseminyu New Town, K. Munenle Tep, and a special number was presented by the class 12 students of GHSS Tseminyu.
