SCTE holds 16th meeting at Kohima

The State Council for Technical Education (SCTE), Department of Technical Education, Nagaland, held its 16th meeting on April 14 at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Technical Education, Kohima, Nagaland.

Advisor for Technical Education & Transport and Chairman (SCTE), Temjenmenba, in his inaugural address, welcomed the Council Members and highlighted the significance of the Council meeting as a platform where representatives from key Departments converge to deliberate on critical issues and formulate policies aimed at strengthening the State’s Technical Education system.

He emphasized the need for preparedness in developing skilled and technically competent manpower to meet present and future demands.

Er Vipulhou Lhoungu, Director of Technical Education & Member Secretary (SCTE), conducted the business session, where several key areas were discussed. All agenda items were thoroughly deliberated upon and appropriate recommendations were made by the Council.

The meeting was attended by Council Members from various Departments (State & outside), including Adviser from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Planning & Coordination, Finance, Higher & Technical Education, Nagaland University, Nagaland Board of School Education, Public Works Department (PWD), Industries & Commerce, NST, Information Technology & Communication (IT&C), Employment & Skill Development, along with officials from the Department of Technical Education.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Director, Technical Education.
