The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Chumoukedima, has informed that a Seva Setu Camp under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG: MBY) will be organised from October 14 to 16, 2026, at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Chumoukedima, in collaboration with the Department of Power, Chumoukedima.
The camp aims to facilitate on-the-spot awareness, registration and application processing for residential rooftop solar (RTS) installations. Under the scheme, eligible residential households can avail central and state financial subsidies for rooftop solar installations up to 3 kW, with the circular indicating a total subsidy of ₹1,35,800. The scheme also facilitates access to smart prepaid electricity meters and collateral-free bank loans.
The camp will commence at 10 a.m. onwards. Services available will include registration through the National Scheme Portal, consultations with empanelled solar vendors, assistance from banking representatives for loan applications, and technical guidance from Department of Power officials.

Beneficiaries have been advised to bring original documents along with photocopies, including a recent electricity bill, proof of identity (Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence or Voter ID), ownership or landownership documents for the residential rooftop space, bank account details for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), and two passport-sized photographs.
All Area Administrative Officers, Heads of Departments, ward councillors, village council chairmen and Gaon Buras under Chümoukedima District have been directed to give wide publicity to the camp in their respective jurisdictions.
Eligible residents are encouraged to attend the camp and avail themselves of the benefits of the scheme towards promoting clean energy and reducing household electricity expenses.
