A farewell program in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Shamator, Chubatemjem was held on May 22.

The outgoing Deputy Commissioner in his address, expressed gratitude to all the Shamator based Officers, Civil Societies and public for their full cooperation extended to him during his tenure, as DC and asserted that because of the active cooperative and support he received from all concerned, he managed to function the office smoothly.

He also exhorted the officers to be more dedicated in their assignments, acknowledging that Shamator being a new district needs more attention and care for all round development.

Speaking on behalf of Yimkhiung Tribal Council, Secretary, Hankiu expressed profound gratitude to Chubatemjem, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner for dedication to his service and is always available in the station monitoring all round administration under his able leadership for the growth and development of the district. He specially acknowledged the outgoing DC for completing the town road extension under his leadership. On behalf of Shamator public, he wishes him success in his new assignment.

Speaking on behalf of the district administration, SDO (C), Athrong Yimchunger thanked the D.C for his sincere and down-to-earth services rendered to the welfare of the people, and pointed out that he was available anytime with openness to all officers and public. Thanking him for his guidance in discharging public responsibilities with commitment, the SDO said he will be remembered for his good deeds and wishes him success in his future endeavour.
