Skill Development of Rural Women concludes in Niuland

Niuland: DC encourages trainees to put into practise what they have learned, teach more people

The valedictory function of Skill Development of Rural Women through Mobile Skill Morung was held at Town hall, Niuland on 13th September 2024. The program was graced by Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S Jamir.

The Deputy Commissioner, in her speech, thanked the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for bringing the skilling program to Niuland district even though Niuland is still a developing district and have resource constraints. She emphasised the need of becoming self-reliant and to ensure that the economy of the district and State is developed.

Jamir further encouraged the trainees to put into practise what they have learned through this training and also to train more people to foster self-employment. This will improve the overall economic and living condition and will take the district ahead, the DC said.

Jamir later gave away the toolkits and certificates to the 25 trainees.

The program was chaired by Officer in-Charge, WITI Chümoukedima, Ruyazelie Keyho, and the closing remark was pronounced by Employment Officer, Nibizo Nagi.
