SP Kiphire launches Operation Good Samaritan – a mass outreach campaign against drugs

Kiphire: Volunteers will be given ‘participation’ certificates from Kiphire police

Superintendent of Police Kiphire, K Swarnambika, IPS has launched an initiative to create awareness against drug abuse by involving community participation in the district called ‘Operation Good Samaritan’, Additional Superintendent of Police Kiphire, S. Lanu Aier, NPS announced on Monday.

The press release stated that ‘Operation Good Samaritan’ “aims to mobilise volunteer youths across Kiphire district, to go for door to door campaign, jointly with the Kiphire police, to spread awareness against drug abuse within the society.”

It was informed that any interested volunteer from Kiphire district can enrol his/her name by texting any of the following mobile numbers with Name, ID proof and contact number, along with the caption ‘Volunteer for Operation Good Samaritan:

  1. Additional SP, & Nodal Officer, Anti Narcotic Task Force – 6009308147
  2. SDPO, Kiphire – 6009308148
  3. OC PS Kiphire – 6009308149
  4. OC PS Pungro – 6009308150

It further said that volunteers will be given ‘participation’ certificates from Kiphire police as a token of appreciation in recognition of his/her active participation in combating war against drugs to keep his/her society clean.

The SP encouraged cooperation from the public of the district to take part in this noble cause and make the ‘Operation Good Samaritan’ program a successful one by holding a mass outreach campaign against drug abuse.
