Special seminar on Union Budget held at Yingli College Longleng

A one-day special seminar on the Union Budget 2024-25 themed ‘Critical analysis and way forward for the Indian economy’ was organised by the Research Cell in Collaboration with the Department of Economics Yingli College, Longleng on February 23, at Borgohain Hall, informed DIPR.

Speaker Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor Department of Economics, Yingli College discussed the importance of a union budget in India. Konchem, Assistant Professor, Yingli College highlighted the budget 2024-25 and the significance of the government’s humane and inclusive approaches to development and the deliberate departure from the earlier approach of ‘provisioning up-to-village level’.

Konchem also pointed out the development programmes in the last ten years which have targeted each and every household and individual, through ‘housing for all’, electricity for all, cooking gas for all, bank accounts and financial services for all, in record time. Finally, she pointed out that the Government strengthened its ‘mantra’ to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, and Sabka Vishwas’.

According to DIPR, Magazine Hella 2021-2023 of Yingli College Longleng was released on the same day at the Borgohain Hall, Yingli College by the Principal Dr. T. Temsu Imti under the theme “Blend”. The Magazine contains articles, poems, book reviews, folktales, skills and creativity of the teachers and the students.


The programme was chaired by Dr. Kekhriengulieü Tachü, Assistant Professor Department of English. Assistant Professor, Mhayano A Odyuo invoked God’s blessing for the programme and the Magazine. Yingli College Students’ Union presented a special number and the concept note of the Magazine was presented by Dr. Toli Achumi, Convenor Magazine Committee & Assistant Professor Department of Political Science.
