The All Naga Students’ Association Manipur (ANSAM) has condemned the act of anti-Naga elements demolishing the office of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) at the Naga Club Building, Kohima, on 27 May 2023. ANSAM in a release denounced the vandalizing of the office of the NSF at the Naga Club building, ‘the living symbolic legacy of Naga pioneers for inclusive Nagas, the significant loud chorus and voice of the Nagas for “Unified Lim and Glory of Nagas”, in times of intense difficulty in Naga National Movement. Such obnoxious act not only challenges the determination of the Nagas but has assaulted the Naga history and the pioneering Naga leaders who have been bravely defending the rights of the Nagas from sinister designs in the Naga National Movement.’

The Association also urged the concerned authority to take necessary actions against the perpetrators at the earliest while assuring its unwavering support to the federation.

The Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun (Lamkang Students’ Union) denounced the vandalization of the historical office of the Naga Students Federation and appealed the law enforcing agencies to arrest the perpetrators at the earliest and bring forth in the public domain the fugitives involved in the crime. It also appealed to every right-thinking Naga citizen to come forward against such Anti-Naga elements.

The Mao Students’ Union (MSU) stated that it was deeply perturbed at the act of vandalism upon the NSF headquarters in Kohima. MSU stated that the historic building has been a citadel for the long-struggled Naga movement and an institution for the young Naga leaders spanning across pan Naga homeland. The actions of the anti-Naga elements are extremely despicable and unacceptable, and it has no place in our Naga society, the union said.

The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) vehemently condemned the vandalization of the office building of NSF. Such kind of unpatriotic acts of anti-Naga elements is an agenda to detriment the spirit of Naga nationalism by the oppressors, TKS said. Any action that tries to sabotage the fabric of Naga nation must be arrested at the earliest and awarded befitting punishment, it added. It stated its support with the NSF at this challenging moment, while calling for strengthening and building the Naga nation. TKS urged the concerned authority to take necessary actions at the earliest.
