Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), Supongmeren Jamir has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic landslide incident in Mon district that claimed the lives of innocent citizens.
He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed that they find strength and courage to endure this immense loss. He also wished a speedy recovery to those who sustained injuries in the unfortunate incident.
In view of the ongoing monsoon season, Jamir appealed to the people of Nagaland to remain vigilant, avoid landslide-prone areas wherever possible, and strictly follow safety advisories issued by the authorities.
He further urged the Government of Nagaland to treat the tragedy with utmost seriousness and ensure that adequate monetary compensation and all necessary relief measures are provided to the affected families without delay. He emphasized that timely assistance is crucial in helping the victims rebuild their lives and recover from this devastating loss.

He also expressed deep concern over the flood situation in Tuli under Mokokchung district, where residents are facing immense hardship due to rising floodwaters. He appealed to the concerned authorities to immediately extend relief and rehabilitation assistance to the affected areas. At the same time, he called upon the people of Tuli to stand together, support one another, and demonstrate the spirit of community during this difficult time.
Jamir stands in solidarity with the people of Mon district and Tuli during this difficult time and prays for the safety and well-being of all citizens across the state as the monsoon continues.
