SVEEP awareness programme conducted at Senayangba GHSS Ungma

A Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) awareness programme focusing on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise was held at Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in Ungma, Mokokchung on September 2.

Kewimesin Nriame, EAC (HQ) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for 26-Aonglenden Assembly Constituency addressed the gathering on the vital role of voter awareness among youth. Highlighting the fundamental democratic principle of “one person, one vote”, Nriame motivated the eligible students to actively exercise their franchise in upcoming elections.

The officer further urged the students to extend their full cooperation to ensure the success of the ongoing SIR initiative.

During the session, the Master Trainer for 26-Aonglenden AC detailed the technical aspects of the SIR exercise. The trainer explained the crucial responsibilities handled by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and provided step-by-step guidance on how to correctly fill out and process the enumeration forms.

The event concluded successfully with a vote of thanks delivered by Neithozo Theunuo, EAC (HQ) and AERO for 27-Mokokchung Town AC.
