The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Nagaland, in partnership with the District Election Officer of Mokokchung and the Nagaland Sports Association, successfully concluded a two-day outreach program at Fazl Ali College on the 1st and 2nd of November 2024. This Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) is an initiative to promote voter’s registration and awareness among eligible young voters through an engaging and interactive approach.

The program featured an EPIC Tournament with a variety of sports activities, including tug of war, relay races, capture the flag, and Futsal tournaments for both men and women. These games brought students together, fostering teamwork and enthusiasm while underscoring the importance of civic responsibility and active participation in the democratic process.

To further support the event’s goals, a voter registration booth was set up to allow students to easily register, update, or verify their voter details, highlighting the importance of each individual’s role in strengthening democracy.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating participants dedication and sportsmanship and encouraging to continue the role of community involvement.

This successful collaboration between the CEO Nagaland, District Election Office, Mokokcung and the Nagaland Sports Association demonstrates a shared commitment to building an active electorate among the youths of Nagaland.
