A team from Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) led by executive chairman Thsioli and vice president Aseli Sangtam visited the Government High School Seyochung and the ongoing construction site of the library at Seyochung village.

During the visit, the team interacted with the school teachers, a press release informed. The latter shared several concerns with the union including support for children with special needs by way of raising awareness among parents of children with disabilities, as the teachers are not professionally trained to handle such students.

The teaching staff also stated to have urged the union to help spread awareness about the importance of education. They emphasized that the community must work together to ensure the smooth functioning of the school.

The school authorities further mentioned enrolment issue and sought the SVSU’s assistance to look into it and convey to the public about the importance of education.

The union, on this part, assured its commitment for the welfare and growth of the school.

With regard to the library construction in the village, the workers stated to have informed the SVSU that the project is expected to be completed by June 12 this year. The union expressed appreciation to the department of Art and Culture for supporting rural development through such important initiatives.
