Teachers’ Day celebrated at Zunheboto

Zunheboto: During the event four teachers were awarded the District Teachers award for their outstanding contribution and service

The District Education Office Zunheboto organised a District Teachers’ Day celebration program at Town Hall, Zunheboto today at 10 am.

Viketoulie Metha, E.A.C HQ, while speaking as the guest speaker congratulated the district awardees and stated that without teachers there will be no teacher’s day and that the dedication and hard work made by the teachers are incomparable.

He encouraged the students to respect their teachers and in their times of challenges and issues when they are unable to share with their parents or friends, they can always rely on their teachers because they are the second parents and they will always be there to help them.

He further urged the teachers to interact with their students and work with them and to live a life of dignity and honour, so that their students may look up to them and they may aim to become someone like them.

Four teachers were awarded the District Teachers Award for their outstanding contribution and service. The awardees were, Huskha Sema, PGT, Aghunato; Hiloto S., G/T GMS, Amiphoto; V.K Kaiho Sema, PT GPS, Satakha and Mughashe V. Chophy, Seven Home School, Zunheboto

Earlier the program was chaired by Oketo Chishi, PGT GHSS, Zunheboto. Invocation was pronounced by Hilotoli, PGT GHSS Zunheboto and concluded with a benediction prayer said by Atoli  Chophi, headmistress, Shovishe Memorial GHS, Zunheboto.
