Team Metamorphosis hosted a combined celebration of International Doctors’ Day and its 19th Foundation Day at the Hornbill Hotel, under the theme “Serving the Community Together with Dedication” on October 2.
Dr. Zuben Kikon, Chief Medical Officer of Wokha, expressed his gratitude during the proceedings, commending the organising committee for their efforts in hosting the event. He expressed gratitude and praised Team Metamorphosis for its remarkable contributions as a pillar of strength and hope within the community over the past 19 years.
In his address, Thungdemo Kyong, President of Team Metamorphosis, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to serving the community with dedication. He remarked that for some, a stethoscope is merely a tool; for dedicated doctors, however, it transforms into a life-saving instrument. Kyong emphasised that this celebration serves as a reminder of the collective effort required to enhance health services and support those in need.

Reflecting on his 45 years of service in Wokha, Dr. Atheo Murry expressed appreciation and recounted his experiences of working alone when he was the only doctor in the district, facing numerous challenges, including sleepless nights dedicated to patient care. “We are determined to do something for the welfare of the people. Whatever your conscience permits you to do, strive to do good for the community and its patients,” remarked Dr. Murry.
