TGC Market to be launched on June 22

The Green Caravan (TGC) Naga market, a chain market for Naga entrepreneurs and youths aims to provide employment to students and local vendors. A platform where both young and old can come and experience a good time, TGC is set to launch on June 22.

The market hopes to provide employment, full time as well as part time opportunities for the youth. A significant objective of the market is to enable college students to work part time after classes, to earn their livelihood.

According to TGC, a timing division will be set for each and every group of people:  First hour of the day that is 4 am to 7 am will be allotted to any Naga farmers to come and sell their products while 9 am to 4 pm will be allotted to the registered TGC farmers.

Every second Friday: A sales day will be organised by the Nagaland Flowers Grower Society under the theme “Flower Bazaar”.

Tuesday and Wednesday of every 2nd ,3rd ,4th week, the market will be allotted to government farmers.

The Night food court will be available from 4:00pm to 10:00 pm run by local students and youths.

A platform will also be provided in the form of a one stop solution for all local entrepreneurs where they can drop their stuffs for sale, informed the TGC.

Pelevotuo Solo from TGC Naga market team also informed that every second Saturday, local artists will be invited to perform a gig. This will also play as a platform to promote local artists. Eight food courts are currently available with diverse cuisines including locally produced juices and cuisines made by the Naga youths.

The TGC Naga market opening gig called “An Evening with Moko Koza” will be held on June 22 at 6:30 pm at the Market Arena. Artist Macnivil will be opening the show for Moko Koza. The Green Caravan (TGC) Naga market is  located at PWD road, next to FIFA café and it will officially be opened from June 24.
